Digital Prints
Hank Kim’s digital prints combine the reproducibility of traditional printmaking with the infinite replicability of digital media to fundamentally reconfigure the mode of artistic existence. Coupled with NFT, these works function as meta-media experiments that redefine originality and aura. Whereas traditional prints rely on limited editions, the digital print secures digital originality via blockchain. On the digital screen, Super Baby forms a “digital matière” through pixel-level luminosity and layered transparency, creating a virtual presence that enables viewers to experience the fluid boundary between reality and virtuality. By intersecting with pop-culture icons, Super Baby triggers irony within the semiotics of consumer culture and demonstrates that art is not merely consumed imagery, but a language of reflection and empathy.
